The 2km bridge will connect the two strategic cities of Onitsha and Asaba and will form part of the Onitsha – Benin Expressway. The existing steel bridge was built in 1965 and is near the end of its design life. The bridge is critical in providing the essential link between the south-west and south-east regions of Nigeria.
The consultancy is part of a proposed Public Private Partnership project delivery model and Roughton International is providing the Transaction Advisor services.
