In Georgia, Roughton has secured the supervision of design and build contract for the rehabilitation of 17.43km section of the Sasadilo – Sioni road. As well as pavement rehabilitation, the project includes construction of a new bridge, rehabilitation of 3 other bridges and road structures. Two of the bridges are of significant size. Crossing the River Iori in the Kakheti Region, they measure 86m and 88m each.

Let under the World Bank Standard Conditions of Contract for Design-Build, the design review and site supervision services include administration of the design-build contract, review and verification of the Contractor’s design and working drawing and construction supervision. It is envisaged that the rehabilitation will take approximately 17 months. Roughton is working in association with local firm GeoEngineering Ltd.
