Roughton International has recently completed a large scale multidisciplinary project to construct an Engineering Training Centre for apprentices at the London Underground Acton Depot.
Our structural engineering team has been busy working on a project at Facebook’s London Headquarters over the summer. They have been involved in creating a detailed structural report into defects found in the lift shaft walls and guide rail supports, and recommending the best course of action for repair. This was an interesting opportunity for our team to work for a globally recognised company in their stunning London offices.
Roughton has recently been commissioned to work on a project for London Underground to carry out a 3D scan of the roof at Farringdon station. Using cutting-edge technology, in the form of a 3D cloud survey, we have been able to produce a detailed map of this listed structure.
The 2km bridge will connect the two strategic cities of Onitsha and Asaba and will form part of the Onitsha – Benin Expressway. The existing steel bridge was built in 1965 and is near the end of its design life. The bridge is critical in providing the essential link between the south-west and south-east regions of Nigeria.
Roughton were commissioned to carry out a detailed site inspection for HTC Europe Co Ltd, to investigate an on-going issue with water ingress. The Civil, Structural and Building Surveying divisions were involved in a thorough review of the affected areas at the Salamanca House site.
