Lifeline roads improvement programme 2011, Armenia

Client: Ministry of Transport and Communications

The project entailed pavement rehabilitation and upgrade for eight sections of secondary roads, totalling around 100km as part of the Lifeline roads improvement programme 2011. Project roads are providing access for villages to the network of national roads. Most sections are in mountainous or hilly terrain.

Roughton carried out the following:

  • Preparation of traffic studies
  • Geotechnical studies
  • Hydrological and hydraulic studies
  • Feasibility studies and economic analysis using HDM-IV for various pavement rehabilitation options
  • Environmental impact assessments
  • Detailed designs for rehabilitation works
  • Tender documentation for ICB selection method
