Client: Government of Abu Dhabi, Ministry of Public Works

The project comprised the design and construction of main distributor and residential roads to serve a new town residential area comprising 540 houses with relevant institutional buildings. Works comprised asphalt surfacing and base on natural gravel sub?base, parking and footways in decorative concrete block and diversion of utility services.

Roughton was appointed to provide the following services:

• Preliminary design to town planning requirements
• Materials investigation
• Detail design for roads, drainage, and services location
• Contract ocumentation and tender procedures
• Construction supervision
