Client: Rwanda Transport Development Agency

The gravel access road is located in the North Western part of Rwanda. The project involved upgrading and widening of 9.5km of the existing track to a 6 - 7 m wide paved road with 1 - 1.5m shoulder each side and drainage works.

Roughton was appointed to undertake the following:

• Fulfil the role of Engineer Representative
• Construction supervision throughout the entire construction period and the defects liability period
• Ensure adhesion to contract specifications, quality standards, price and timeframe
• Optimize the use of locally available material resources
