Client: Imperial College NHS Trust

Hammersmith Hospital is one of the largest in London.  This project was to allow for the relocation and expansion of the Cardiac Catheter Suite from St Mary’s Hospital.

At this busy and live hospital, all works in relation to this new suite of imaging equipment needed to be assessed for complex logistics in regards to working in a live hospital environment.  Deliveries, drilling work and any other noisy works needed to be agreed with the trust and the adjacent users.

Roughton was Structural engineers responsible for:

• Analysis and design of the new support structure, as well as the analysis of the existing structure for vibrations and load capacity
• Site supervision of the structural works allowed for quick and responsive action when site modifications were required
