As part of the refurbishment works carried out at Immigration Removal Centre (IRC) Haslar the ceiling and roof was upgraded to meet the required security and operating environment. 

Roughton carried out the necessary visual surveys and load testing to check deflection capacity, including:

• Assess structural implications of proposed refurbishment works
• Survey the existing roof structure, to ascertain the size and condition of structural members
• Assess the capacity of the existing roof structure to accommodate the proposed refurbishment work
• Report on findings and present recommendations
