Client: Transport for London

Following redevelopment of the transport interchange serving Loughton in Essex, Roughton was requested by Transport for London to undertake a review of the works and to develop solutions for the frequent instances of flooding which had occurred subsequent to the redevelopment, which often resulted in closure of the transport facilities

Acting as multi-disciplinary lead consultants Roughton provided the following design disciplines:

• Civil, Public Health & Drainage Engineering
• Mechanical & Electrical Engineering
   

For the review of the existing design of the transport interchange serving Loughton Station, services included:

• Topographic, measured and condition surveys
• Hydraulic modelling of existing systems
• Preparation of option/feasibility Study
• Redesign of pedestrian walkway areas
• Design of new pumped and gravity drainage system including provision of necessary mechanical and electrical services
• Project management and supervision of the construction process
