The aim of the project is to rehabilitate and upgrade over 20km of urban roads and pipe drainage, including footpaths and street lighting. Sludge collection and disposal systems require improvements, requiring the construction of new disposal facilities. Also, toilets, washing and bathing facilities in villages and peri-urban settlements are to be constructed. Training programmes to develop the capacity to operate and maintain the new facilities will also be provided.
