New townships were constructed in rural areas to house nomadic populations. The project required new water supply and distribution for the housing, commercial buildings, and recreational facilities.

Roughton was commissioned to undertake a survey, planning and design of water supply and distribution to two rural townships, including:

• Boreholes
• Pumping
• Service reservoirs
• Reticulation to water meter distribution points

• Pipeline design and construction supervision
• Water supply
